Adopt a Chair Update

Posted by:

We had an overwhelming response to our Adopt a Glade Chair Campaign and that shows the desire that people have in keeping the Blandford Ski Area healthy for many years to come.

As you may know, painting the chair lift is an involved process. It includes sandblasting and scraping not only the chairs, but the bull wheels at the top and bottom of the lift and the 13 support towers, prior to painting. There are professional chair painting companies that do this work but we were not able to book a company to paint the chairs this summer due to their heavy schedule.

This means we will not be able to have the Glade chair painted until spring of 2016. Despite not having a fresh coat of paint, we will be putting the name plates on the chairs and signs on the lift towers this fall. This entire project would not have been possible without our members support and for that we are very grateful. If you missed your chance to adopt a chair, there are still a few left so please reach out to us if you would like to adopt a chair or tower, if you have any questions or concerns  marketing@skiblandford.org

We look forward to seeing you at our next open house on Sunday December 6.

Respectfully
